**Clinical Responsibility**: To support the Therapy Team with production of Therapy resources which may include therapy programmes, stretching or positioning programmes, communication resources, social stories, visual schedules, or low-tech communication resources. To assist the Therapy Team with the implementation of therapy programmes working either individually or in groups with children and young people with supervision To support Therapists with assessment and review which may include gathering information through classroom observations, or questionnaires. Administrative Duties To keep up to date records on clients following Service Policy. To attend relevant staff and service meetings.
To assist with administrative duties across the special schools, such as answering the telephone, photocopying, and filing when requested, uploading documents, archiving and assisting with data management, and maintaining data bases. To assist the team with co-ordination of on-site clinics from tertiary services (e.g. Orthotics/ Wheelchair Services) Assist in keeping equipment clean, safe and secure and assist with ordering supplies including stationary when required. To assist the team with the ordering, set up and maintenance of equipment and supplies including specialist equipment for home or school.
Attend all mandatory training set by the trust and the department. Undertake relevant activities to meet training objectives identified with supervisor. Recognise own strengths and limitations and ask for help when unsure. To participate in appraisal and personal development in accordance with Trust guidelines.
**Professional Duties**: Act as a professional and responsible team member. Work in a professional manner and maintain issues of confidentiality at all times. Be conversant with child protection issues. Have knowledge of and always maintain personal/professional boundaries.
Always act in a manner to positively promote the organisation and its ethos. Adhere to the organisations policies and procedures. Regularly consult with and inform the Supervisor of any issues/concerns relating to workload and responsibilities. To undertake surveys or audits as directed by supervisor/line manager.
Ensure that work areas are well maintained are comply with Health and Safety Guidelines, ensuring the safe use of equipment, cleaning and storage of materials.
