Admiral Self Storage is a family owned and operated business, providing storage, removals, and van rental services and supplies to both domestic and business customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and highly organised, detail-orientated administrator to join our small but busy team. Based at the offices of our self storage facility in Walsall, you’ll be a team player with a positive "Can Do" attitude, giving support in a variety of tasks, in an environment where no two days are the same. You must have proven experience as either a senior administrator, office manager, PA, or similar role. Using your expertise and experience, you will be ready to take on the challenge of implementing and maintaining new procedures and systems, to reduce the workload of our management team. These include, but are not limited to working in the realms of: - General administrative and adhoc support - Health & Safety - Customer Services - Creating and managing databases, spreadsheets, filing systems - Monitoring and reconciling financial transactions - Conducting research and compiling data - HR The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate: - Extensive IT capabilities; particularly MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams - Ability to collect and evaluate basic data (charting and pivot tables in Excel) - Experience in a previous role that included bookkeeping or required numerical reasoning - Excellent typing skills; including creating documents incorporating the use of design programs - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks - Eagerness to bring personal ideas and creativity to projects and tasks - Ability to remain calm, focused and productive in a fast-paced working environment - A good memory with the capacity to absorb and retain new information quickly - Strong organisational skills; initiative to think and plan ahead - Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt approaches to differing audiences - Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills - A flexible, conscientious attitude to work and ability to multi-task - Discretion when handling confidential information We consider our staff as family, and invest in their wellbeing, training and development. This enables us to offer a more flexible working week, and some shorter/longer working days. All staff are expected to work some weekends.
