We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join our Property team. You will be jointly responsible for 65 Machine Mart stores nationwide, looking after all aspects of property management including planned/reactive maintenance and dilapidation's,and Project Management of major refurbishments including new store fitting.

You will ensure that all stores within the portfolio are maintained to a high standard. You will manage and build relationships with external contractors to negotiate repair and refurbishment schemes to ensure projects work to time and cost budgets. Youwill also take responsibility for property lease negotiations and commercial arrangements, service charge discussions and agreements.

You’ll have an in-depth knowledge of building construction, practices and cost control systems. Experience with building defects and remediation strategies, asbestos management, CDM, energy management techniques, health and safety legislation, constructionlegislation, etc.

You will be a results focused property surveyor with commercial acumen to help support the business in delivering its goals. A confident individual who enjoys nurturing strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

This is an autonomous role therefore you must be able to work remotely with minimum supervision. You will be computer literate and hold a full, clean UK driving license as regular nationwide travel is required. Given the nature of our business, retail industryexperience in a comparative role is highly desirable.
