We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Head of Retail Distribution to join our Retail Intermediary Business team within the Pensions and Savings Business of The Standard life business.

**The role**

The Head of Retail Intermediary proposition is a critical role within the recently formed retail Intermediary Business unit. Intermediaries are a key route to market for the business dealing with our current customers plans as well as a source of new customers and assets to the group. The retail Intermediary business is focussed on Retention and growth of existing customer assets, building a competitive and refreshing Intermediary focussed proposition for them to work with their clients and leveraging the strength and breadth of the wider group to take compelling offering to market.

Ensuring the Standard Life business has a robust strategy and plan to deliver market competitive proposition will be key to leveraging our reach and brand within the Retail Intermediary Sector, the recruitment and retention of a high performing team focussed on driving the business objectives forward will be a key success enabler for this role.

A central member of the senior leadership team within the Retail Intermediary, really bringing the market perspective to the business with context and insight, this role will contribute to the shaping, priorities and execution of the business strategy.

The role has a high degree of autonomy to deliver the retail distribution net fund flow targets, ownership of devising and implementation of the proposition strategy working in a collegiate way with the senior team and the wider business within Standard life as well as the wider Phoenix group.

**What are we looking for?**

A self-motivated, ambitious, experienced Proposition leader with significant experience and demonstrable achievement within an Intermediated Retail FS business. Standard Life is re-positioning itself following the purchase by Phoenix and separating from the Aberdeen within the Intermediary Sector and needs leaders to lead and innovate to compete in this well supplied sector.

The business is focussed on a growth trajectory so an individual who can inform, shape, implement and execute will thrive and grow within this environment. We are looking for an individual who has ambition to contribute to a growth business, looking for personal challenge to grow as an individual and be a business leader within an outstanding business.

As well as proposition management experience we are keen that the Individual has extensive experience in developing new, innovate and compelling propositions that address gaps in the market sector to lead the way leveraging SL/Phoenix significant strength into this sector. Really taking your extensive knowledge and understanding from the market sector and bringing it to life in the strategy and development of the proposition, passionate about making the difference to customers, Intermediaries and the business
