**Introduction**:
We are recruiting a part time Barber Tutor role to deliver and assess the Barbering Diploma Level 2 and 3 programmes to Apprentices and Adult learners. By placing them at the center of everything you do, you will help them succeed and achieve outstanding learning and assessment outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Based at our Croydon academy, you will work 18.5 hours a week across two days:
Monday - 09.30AM - 09.00PM with two 30 minute breaks
Wednesday - 12.30PM - 09.00PM with one 30 minute break

Pulling on your own expertise, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing the Barbering Diploma Level 2 and 3 programmes to Apprentices and Adult learners. By placing them at the center of everything you do, you will help them succeed and achieve outstanding learning and assessment outcomes. To succeed, you will need these important qualities:

**DUTIES**:

- Plan and deliver a training programme that ensures robust ILP, adheres to the scheme of work and the education inspection framework standards
- Ensure that apprenticeship standard requirements, including functional skills are met, ensuring learner progress is effectively reviewed and tracked to ensure timely and overall completion
- Ensure learner readiness for end point assessment (EPA) and set SMART targets on action plans to support them to achieve
- Support employers in understanding their responsibility relating to on and off the job training
- Ensure all learner records and reporting is kept up to date and provided in a timely manner to support management reporting and audit requirements
- Undertake assessment, portfolio evidencing and tracking of achievement using the e-portfolio and tracking systems
- Where applicable, generate teaching and learning resources as required or use the resources
- Provide robust and impartial information, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their learner journey including exit advise in relation to employment opportunities
- **Quality Assurance**
- Participate in quality assurance activities working closely with the quality team.
- Ensure CPD is planned and reflects Company and stakeholder requirements as guided by the
- quality team
- Manage learner feedback through learner surveys as per requirements and achieve overall 95% learner satisfaction
- Liaise with the Head of Teaching and Learning, Lead IQA regarding audit and compliance of reviews, ILPs and shared resources
- Follow up learner absences and ensure timely communication with employers on learners’ absences, progress, and achievement

**Generic Deliverables**:

- Deliver KPI’s in line with company expectations (Register, marking policy, learner satisfaction)
- Complete regular and ad hoc reporting as and when requires
- Positively promote the ethos, culture, and development of the LCG in every aspect of its business
- Contribute to the commercial income of the Academy salon, meeting salons targets
- Conduct your role in line with the behaviour aligned with our company values
- Comply with and follow all processes within The Safeguarding Policy, ensuring safely of all learners is paramount
- Comply and follow all processes within the Health and Safety Policy
- Comply and follow all processes within the IT Policy and, Data Protection and Information Security Policy

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**

- Educated to Level 2 or above in Mathematics & English
- Assessor qualified, A1, TAQA, CAVA, or D32, D33
- Recognised teaching or training qualification at level 3 or above
- Experience within an Apprenticeship Assessor / trainer or teaching role working with learners of all ages
- Knowledge of qualifications and awarding organisation standards
- Knowledge of safeguarding and Prevent
- Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks
- Understanding of e-portfolios
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Drive and enthusiastic to support learners
- Passionate about transforming people’s lives through learning
- Self-reliant and able to manage own workload
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
