We are looking for a Head of Development here at Havebury to lead the Development team. _Your role will be to partner with the Director of Development to meet agreed business and strategic targets. _

**Responsible for**:_Senior Project Managers, Development Programme Manager, Home Ownership Sales Manager, and Customer Care Manager_

**Travel requirements**:Will require frequent travel to external meetings and to development sites.

**Outline of key responsibilities**:

- To inform, create and implement policies and procedures to support Havebury's Homes England programme delivery commitments and ensure delivery is in accordance with regulatory compliance and best practice
- To ensure the organisation's Development Programme is delivered on time to standard and to cost, complying fully with the requirements of any government contract and legislation
- Overseeing the appointment and management of contractors, solicitors, architects, valuers, and other professionals.
- To manage and oversee the identification of sites to produce a pipeline programme to meet Havebury's contractual obligations to Homes England and its internal development targets.
- To lead the Resident Services Team ensuring that income targets are met and all sales are conducting in accordance with legislation and Havebury's policies.
- Monitor and ensure effective financial budgetary control to maximise value for money, business efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure accurate cashflows are reported to Finance.

- Excellent communication skills
- Full driving licence and own vehicle
- Construction/property background or knowledge
- Knowledge and experience of partnership working
- Ability to understand plans and technical drawings
- Extensive experience of dealing with land/property acquisition and development project
