We are looking for an enthusiastic post-doctoral researcher with interest and experience in analysing genomic and/or longitudinal mental health data.
**The Opportunity**:
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious post-doctoral scientist to work within a exciting team and contribute to knowledge on the genomic (genetic and epigenetic) and phenotypic foundations of depression. Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research fellowship, to be held within the Division of Psychiatry. This research post will be focused on the statistical analyses of genotypes, DNA methylation data and longitudinal phenotypes from large studies, including UK Biobank, Generation Scotland and ALSPAC. The successful applicant will analyse data from these studies and will work within a wider group looking at genetic influences on mental health phenotypes, including collaborators from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium.
**Your skills and attributes for success**:
- Experience of analysing genomic and/or longitudinal research
- Experience of working with R or other statistical packages
- Evidence of having contributed to published research productivity
- Excellent management and organisational skills
- Experience of working effectively within a team and ability to work independently
