**Position Overview/Description**

The _Software Test Engineer _is responsible for the design and execution of testing artefacts for both new and existing projects within our Embedded and Gateway product lines. Analytical & technical skills are required, along with an ability to understand how systems fit together in a distributed environment.
- Develop and execute test scenarios
- Work with development teams to deliver new products and features to market
- Leverage automation frameworks to deliver functional and non-functional tests
- Utilize manual testing techniques where automation is not prudent or possible
- Ensure features achieve the desired level of business / functional flow and quality
- Troubleshoot issues reported by ISVs, key accounts, and development teams
- Perform User Acceptance Testing on all Genius product line releases and various other products
- Assist with software deployment activities within our production data center
- Simplify and improve existing test procedures

**Essential Requirements**
- Currently enrolled in second year of a relevant computer science, software engineering degree seeking an industrial placement for third year
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Working experience in some of the following, C#, Java, C, C++, Python
- Passion for and self-motivated interest in Software Development & Testing as a profession
- Understanding of database design and programming
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
