IS THIS ROLE FOR ME?
This is an exciting role which will involve researching and assisting with implementing proposals that will deliver service improvements, improve customer experience and enhance the performance of the business. You will also work towards targets for delivery in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This role will be based at our Albert Road office and involves some travel to local areas of Bristol.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support the delivery of the Mini Recycling Centre (MRC) improvement project
- Ensure effective engagement with a range of stakeholders, including internal staff, residents of the flats where improvements are being made, and other customers/partners
- Ensure that all projects are accurately documented and measured so that data and information gathered is meaningful and that it is effectively and securely stored and accessed
- Undertake research and analysis in relation to strategic and operational issues and produce reports, briefings and presentations for the Innovation and Sustainability manager
- Assist with the development of detailed, robust and deliverable technical and commercial solutions to improve the business
- Assist with investigations and development of new ideas & innovations in order to provide options appraisals and recommendations
- Provide effective data files, administration and other support as required by the Innovation and Sustainability team
- To deliver a strategy to challenge the ‘business as usual’ model that operates
- To support campaigns focusing on reducing residual waste, increasing recycling and to change behaviour

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience and understanding of the waste & recycling industry
- Able to demonstrate analytical ability and experience of research methodologies using a variety of media
- Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of situations, and to present complex information in concise reports and presentations
- Ability to engage with all sections of the community
- A positive, problem-solving attitude
- Sound ICT skills, specifically MS Office suite
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own time/workload
- Ability to work outside and on foot
- Current, valid Full driving licence

**DESIRABLE**:

- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience assisting with delivery of projects or programmes
- Knowledge of environmental issues, sustainability, carbon agenda etc
- Advanced IT skills (e.g. Excel)
