We are looking for a **consultant **to join our Carbon team within Cost Intelligence and Estimating. The team are developing a new service offering to fully integrate carbon and cost estimation and are responsible for the implementation of new procedures and development of digital tools to aid Client investment decision making. The team will also carry out fee-earning commissions for clients.

The role will primarily support the team lead to drive the strategy, develop new systems, and demonstrate our service offerings to clients to win new work.

Key Tasks:

- Drive best practice by developing new internal procedures to align cost and carbon estimation with industry best practice and current legislation.
- Support the carbon team to develop and implement integrated cost and carbon digital tools for a range of clients across the construction industry.
- Assist in the upskilling of the wider estimating team by developing and delivering training content.
- Provide an expert advisory service for clients.
- Engage with the wider Mott MacDonald group to identify client opportunities and contribute to winning new work across multiple sectors.
- Provide guidance to estimating colleagues and contribute to fee-earning work.
- Assist with the management of the carbon team.

**Required for the position of Cost and Carbon Consultant**:

- Awareness of, or an interest in, legislation, data sources and policy influencing carbon footprinting and management (e.g., PAS2080: Carbon Management in infrastructure, among others)
- Familiarity with life cycle project costing, commercial awareness and client drivers
- Ability to use tools such as Excel and PowerBI
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Proactive and self-motivated
