Chichester College has two exciting opportunities for you to join us as a **Lecturer in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) **at our **Chichester campus**. In return, we will offer a competitive salary of** £22,156 - £38,894 per annum** **(full time)**and **£13,293.60 - £23,336.40 per annum - part-time (pro rata).**

**The Lecturer in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) role**:
Two posts available, 52 weeks per year:

- Full-time, 37 hours per week
- Part-time, 22.2 hours per week

As our **Lecturer in Hospitality (Professional Cookery),** you will undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs.

**Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in Hospitality (Professional Cookery)**:

- Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed
- Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner
- Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters
- Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each
- Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity
- Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding
- Keeping up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector
- Participating in marketing activities and promoting the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment
- Undertaking the delivery of literacy and numeracy

**Our ideal Lecturer in Hospitality (Professional Cookery) should have the below skills and experience**:

- Level 2 literacy and numeracy
- Experience teaching and assessing learners
- Working knowledge of professional cookery
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills
- To obtain ATLS or QTLS as required
