Workshop Foreman

FTH Hire Group is one of the largest and fastest growing independent plant and tool hire companies in the UK, with ten depots across the South of England and Scotland. As a result of our ambitious growth plans, we are looking to add additional high calibre people to our growing business.

We are committed to supplying quality equipment, which is always in stock. Our plant hire fleet is replaced every 12 - 18 months, ensuring customers are always hiring machines that are modern, efficient, and reliable.

**We currently have a requirement for a Workshop Foreman to be based out of Guildford**:
Responsible for the workshop operations and oversee all items of tool and plant maintenance, repair and inspection

Responsible for making sure the Guildford Workshop KPIS are met

Oversee/be responsible for accurate stock takes

Liaise with Transport to ensure Plant is available for any hires due the next working day

Ensure any damage picked up at Off-Hire stage is charged out to the Customer

Supervise the workshop Fitters and Yard staff

Assist in the repairing, servicing, and maintaining of all tools and powered access equipment including electrical and hydraulic repairs, along with petrol and diesel engines

Promote Health & Safety throughout the depot

Attend breakdowns off site (as/when required)

Complete all relevant repair and service paperwork

Participate in training programmes as required

Order spares via our internal purchasing department

Work closely with suppliers for warranty work

**Skills**:
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience servicing tools and powered access equipment

Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical engineering

Proven history of supporting a team of engineers/fitters

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
