**Job Description**:
As a Pattern Cutter at COS, you will create and secure a perfect fit for our customers and fulfil our high-quality standards. You will lead and support Junior & Assistant Pattern Cutters in their development.
What you will do:
- Interpret and realize the designer’s vision from sketch to final sample.
- Achieve the best fit and quality for your department.
- Co-create with Designers, Buyers, and Pattern cutters to realize the vision by draping, manual pattern cutting, digital pattern cutting, 3d prototyping and other creative solutions.
- Guide fittings from a technical perspective, alter patterns and make comments in our PLM system.
- Approach fittings with knowledge of the best methods for pattern adjustments to achieve the desired look and fit.
- Attend handovers for new sketches and take detailed notes.
- Work with measurement lists, ensure correct grading, measurements match, all relevant information is present.
- Deliver patterns and fitting comments to deadline, identifying any delays and communicating to your teams.
- Guide, involve and inspire Junior and Assistant Pattern Cutters, and help with prioritising work.
- Understand the customer: participate in sales meetings, monthly returns meetings and customer workshops to keep in touch with the evolving customer.
- Work daily with Lectra, guiding junior team members on best practices.
- Support grading updates seasonally following feedback from various sources.

In addition to our values for this role we are also looking for:
- Extensive previous experience working as a creative pattern cutter with a focus on Mens Outerwear.
- Manual and CAD experience essential, Lectra preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of garment construction.
- Skilled at draping on the stand to create volumes and proportions.
- Confidence in making accurate patterns to tight deadlines.
- Ability to identify problems and take responsibility to find solutions.
- A proactive and assertive way of working.
- Genuine interest and passion for COS Menswear.
- An excellent eye for cut, shape and detail.
