**Tradebe are looking for a Technical Assessor (Chemist) for our expanding team at Fawley, Hampshire.**

**Main purpose of the role**:
This is a combined role, both technically assessing enquiries generated by sales staff and co-ordinating inputs by assigning waste categories and delivery dates.
To ensure, from a technical assessment standpoint, compliance with current legislation and company procedures for all waste quotations and company technical assessment actions.
**A Chemistry Degree/HNC or equivalent is required for this role.**
**Pay and Benefits**:
- £29k to £31k per annum, dependant on experience
- Monday to Friday, 37.5-hour week
- Overtime paid at time and a half
- Up to 10% quarterly bonus
- 33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays

**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Technically assess waste enquiries generated by the sales staff
- Ensure compliance with current legislation for all waste quotations
- Perform the sales order “approval stage”
- Mange sample receipt/liaise with lab to ensure correct analysis is undertaken
- Cover production administration function as required
- Ensure compliance of all waste quotes with site permits & waste management licences
- Ensure that quotations produced are in accordance with the current company sales strategy
- Liaise with internal and external laboratories where sample analysis is required
- Identify appropriate disposal routes for all packaged waste
- Liaise with operations, compliance, sales and customer services to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in the development of the sales function
- To ensure that customers’ requirements are met by providing the pivotal link between central customer services, group transport and site operations
- To assist with the maintenance and control of the site management systems, to include document control, preparation of data and attending reviews where necessary
- To log NCRs, and to assist in their resolution, completing & filing NCR documents, liaising with relevant personnel
**Essential Skills**:
- IT literate, Microsoft essential
- Technically competent
- Committed, flexible and a team player
- Numerate with an understanding of business costing
- Profit and service focussed
- Ability to remain independent from both sales and operations
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience in the waste industry, both hazardous and non-hazardous
- Experience of waste legislation: consignment notes, EWC codes, permit & SIC numbers etc
- Experience of SAP
- Full, clean driving licence
