Station Security Officer

We have a number of exciting new career opportunities for Station Security Officer working alongside one of the biggest rail companies within the UK
We would like to hear from you if you are you interested in pursuing a career in rail security.
- You will need to hold a valid SIA License (Security or DS)
- You must have an excellent level of communication. Good command of the English language and written skills as you will be interacting with passengers on a daily basis and completing incident reports which could be used in court.
- To be active, enthusiastic, and approachable is a must, you will be engaging with the general public, answering their questions and providing an excellent level of service.
- Excellent at conflict management and able to diffuse situations appropriately.
- Experience in a tram or railway environment is desirable although not essential.
- Be able to satisfy NPPV screening & vetting requirements.

**Core duties and responsibilities of a Station Security Officer**:
- You will need to hold a valid SIA License (Security or DS)
- You will be required to undertake uniformed duties within a disciplined environment
- To perform your duties on a client led operational roster, with the necessity of flexible approach to business needs.
- To comply with & enforce all Byelaw Enforcement & Penalty Fare initiatives in accordance with rail directives.
- To respond, manage and contain all security incidents in accordance with company expectations and standards.
- To proactively deliver an excellent standard of customer service by offering support or assistance to all passengers, underpinned by an empathetic approach, with particular regard to vulnerable passengers.
- To safeguard all vulnerable passengers until the responsibility for them can be handed over to the appropriate authorities.
- To proactively strive to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) by pioneering a performance culture.
- To provide high visibility public & staff reassurance patrols on the rail network and services.
- To process and record all information accurately & comprehensively ensuring you adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
**Must be able to**:
- Able to comply with NPPV vetting standards
- Able to provide a full 5 years of work history without gaps.
- Able to be flexible to work a variety of shifts across 7 days (shifts structured to cover early morning to late at night).
