Reporting to the Global Customer Development Manager, the Technical Lead drives the design and delivery of Customer Projects and has line management responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**
- Day to day management of the project development team including technical direction, design, implementation, work allocation and code reviews.
- Work closely with the development team, Project Manager, Account Manager, and other stakeholders across the organisation to manage risk and ensure projects are delivered in an efficient and timely manner.
- Be the main point of contact for the customer and development team on technical issues and provide expertise and guidance on product usage.
- Work with the customer to define requirements, design and implement integration points.
- Ensure the development team follows best practice to deliver consistently high-quality software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in conjunction with the Operations team, the development team, and the customer.
- Engage with other Technical Leads and staff across the organisation to identify improvements and drive innovation.
- Ensure own skills, knowledge, and expertise are continuously developed, updated and improved.
- Act as a Line Manager to the development team, conducting Performance Development Reviews and providing professional guidance and support for the advancement of their careers.
- Carry out line management duties in accordance with the line management organisation and company policies, ensuring that staff follow standard company policies and practices.
- Play a key role in the recruitment of development team members and other team members, as required.

**Skills**
- Excellent leadership skills, demonstrating innovation and consistently high-quality delivery.
- Experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Excellent problem solving and technical skills.
- Ability to manage resources effectively and see tasks and projects through to completion.
- Experience with best-practice software engineering methodologies and processes; including Agile, automated testing, version control, release management, continuous integration and deployment.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide audience at all levels of the business.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Pro-active and embraces change.
- Experience leading software development teams; preferably across time-zones.
- Excellent people-management skills.
- Experience with conducting performance reviews.

**Qualifications & Certifications**
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
- AWS Certification advantageous.
