**About the role**:
We are looking for an **HGV Mechanic** to join the team and build with us. It's an exciting opportunity to join an expanding company in a fast-paced industry with plenty of room to progress through the company for the right person.

You will be experienced in routine maintenance and repair of all makes of heavy commercial vehicles, light commercial vehicles and ideally possess an HGV licence. Being able to work unsupervised and complete the necessary documentation required would be beneficial as would awareness of health and safety obligations at all times.

You will be reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, as well as liaising with all staff, all of whom will be able to provide you with ongoing training.

Previous experience is an absolute must.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Repairing vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation
- Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards
- Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspection
- Good housekeeping routines to meet H&S requirements
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard
- Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment as necessary
- Communicate effectively with the Workshop Manager

**Qualifications**:

- City & Guilds in HGV Mechanics
- IRTEC qualification
