A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Senior Care Assistant able to demonstrate a genuine interest in caring for the elderly in our small and friendly care home:
**Role**:

- To oversee / maintain the care of all Service Users and achieve high standards in care in a professional manner
- To effectively supervise care staff, in conjunction with the Manager
- To delegate tasks, supervise and monitor care practice of all junior Staff
- To promote best practice in all aspects of care delivery
- Safely administer medication

**Required**:

- NVQ Level 2/3 Health and Social Care or working towards obtaining it
- Previous supervisory experience
- Keen eye to detail
- Always act with integrity and understand the importance of confidentiality
- Genuine interest and experience of working with the elderly
- Ability to communicate effectively with Service Users, Relatives and all grades of Staff in spoken and written English
- Satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check
- Two satisfactory written references

**Desired**:

- Previous experience and knowledge of working with people with dementia would be advantageous for this role
- To have the ability to work effectively within a Team environment
- Experience in administration and auditing of medication
- A clean Driving Licence

**Own transport essential due to location. Day/Night shifts are available.**
