International Recruitment Officer

We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to join our International Recruitment Team. You will be working closely with our Hiring Managers to develop robust international recruitment strategies to address workforce shortages across the organisation.
You will have an eye for detail and work efficiently to meet tight deadlines.

12 month fixed term contract covering both Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Yeovil District Hospital internal recruitment.
The International Recruitment Officer will be responsible for the end to end recruitment of international colleagues into Somerset.
Accountable for compliance of NHS Employment Checks and ensuring electronic records are updated and personal information is recorded accurately.
Arranging interviews and recruitment events in the UK and internationally via social media and marketing platforms to attract the best international talent to our Trust.
Work independently, managing own time and caseload and planning work appropriately to ensure deadlines are met.
The role is a mix of office and home working, we aim to be office based 3 days per week working with the larger recruitment team in Taunton or Yeovil so we are able to support you in your new role and encourage an environment of learning by experience, building confidence and knowledge in this role. We have an office based in Taunton or Yeovil, so can support office working in either of these locations. Home working 2 days per week.
There will also be a requirement to support the arrivals of our international recruits, holding welcome meetings in Taunton and showing people around their accommodation, so a car will be vital in this role.

- The Recruitment Officer will be responsible for the End to End Recruitment process for International Healthcare Professionals recruited to the Trust.
- Client management - Liaising with Hiring Managers with recruitment updates and attending Directorate meetings
- Arranging recruitment events/interviews in the UK and overseas using social media and other platforms for marketing events.
- Supporting overseas recruitment events which may include travel outside the EU.
- Responsible for UKVI updates throughout the recruitment and NMC / HCPC registration process.
- Accountable for compliance of NHS employment checks and ensuring electronic records are updated and personal information recorded accurately.
- Flexible working hours to meet the demands of the service and travel requirements.
- Work independently, managing own time and caseload and planning work appropriately to ensure that deadlines are met. Taking a flexible approach to activities and re-prioritising regularly.
- Consistently hit KPIs and deliver an efficient service to clients, problem solving and using initiative to resolve any problems.
- Provide reports and data on recruitment activity
- Seek advice or guidance from their manager, as needed, to ensure the execution of the service is at its best.
- Cover for colleagues during periods of absence to ensure smooth running of the recruitment department, work as part of a team to address peaks of workload and support SFT recruitment activity.
- Assume responsibility for personal continuous professional development and keeping up to date with relevant policies, procedures and legislation, being aware of any changes. Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and courses as appropriate.
