An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hotel Services Quality monitoring officer role.

The post holder will be responsible for providing the assurance by undertaking regular environmental audits of the hospital areas.
- Undertake environmental audits of clinical and non-clinical areas in the frequency agreed by the organisation
- Provide constructive feedback on audit findings relating to the environment and other shortfalls in performance standards
- Arrange and undertake PLACE inspections
- Set the action plan and undertake regular review
- Assist in the ensuring and maintaining of compliance with Healthcare Standards, The National Specification for Cleanliness in the NHS and good practice guides.

The main purpose of HIF is to manage and maintain the HDFT environment within which healthcare is delivered in good order. To provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff; and ensuring compliance with all statutory standards. This includes catering, hotel services, portering and transport, security and car parking facilities.

HIF also provides the capital projects provision which allows the Hospital to extend and diversify as it requires.

HIF takes a lead role on the capital replacement programmes for buildings; infrastructure (including plant and machinery, heating, ventilation and piped systems); medical equipment maintenance and sterile services equipment maintenance. Together with the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings themselves, including structure, roofs, roadways and internal/external finishes.

HIF provide waste and energy management that supports HDFT’s sustainability agenda.

HIF provides operational standards, high level technical professional advice; support to various stakeholders, clients, directors, clinicians, colleagues, consultants and contractors and ensuring that adequate control mechanisms are in place in terms of cost, time and quality of all services.
