The Communications and Engagement Team is part of the Strategy, People and Culture division, along with colleagues in HR, Strategy, Executive Governance and Change, supporting legal colleagues in the Government Legal Department

**The Role**

We’re looking for a **Web Publishing Assistant** - (Inside IR35) **to schedule and publish news, guidance, and documents to support GLD’s communication priorities on GLD’s intranet and GOV.UK

The role comprises planning and publishing content on GLD’s intranet to engage GLD staff and publishing content on GOV.UK.

The role reports to a Senior Web Publishing Manager. GLD’s intranet is based on Microsoft SharePoint Classic.

As a **Web Publishing Assistant** - (Inside IR35) **your main responsibilities would be:

- Working with the Senior Web Publishing Manager to plan and schedule web publishing required to support GLD’s internal communication
- Publishing content on GLD’s intranet and GOV.UK
- Building effective working relationships with the Communications and Engagement Team to understand their web publishing requirements and to publish content in support of the team’s priorities.
- Work with GLD’s external communications colleagues to identify and publish content for GOV.UK

**Essential**:

- ** Ability to perform web publishing on a content management platform.**:

- ** Good written and verbal communication skills.**:

- ** Be a team player who can work well with others to understand tasks and meet deadlines.**

**Desirable**:

- ** Experience of publishing in SharePoint Classic and on GOV.UK is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided on both SharePoint and on GOV.UK.**:

- ** Interest and understanding of web publishing in a professional environment**
