**Job Title**:Security Officer

**Location**: Swindon, SN3 4DB

**Salary**:starting from £9.90 per hour

**Hours**: Normal hours of work are 12hrs per shift, based on a 6-on / 3-off working shift pattern including days, nights and weekends averaging 56hrs per week or on a 4-on / 4off working shift pattern including days, nights and weekends averaging42hrs per week. The Fulfilment Centre operates 24/7 and as a member of our professional team you will need to be reliable and flexible to support your colleagues and the client as required.

**The main duties for the Security Officer roles are**:

- Managing access control for employees, visitors and contractors
- Gatehouse Duties
- Alarm monitoring
- Conducting Patrols of the site to deter and detect stock loss
- Conducting bag and body searches using hand-held metal detectors
- Screening people using walk-through scanners
- Dealing professionally with incidents and unexpected events
- Maintaining records for auditing purposes

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security

Five years’ checkable history and references An SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential for this role.
