A new opportunity has just become available for an experienced Optical Assistant on a full time, permanent basis in a very busy practice in the Essex area close to Basildon. I am recruiting currently for a franchise of one of the UK’s most trusted optical brands.

This practice is situated in a busy shopping centre and has a large and loyal customer base. They have a very friendly and welcoming team in place, who all work for each other to deliver the highest levels of customer care.

You will be working in a busy store surrounded by a very supportive and experienced team who are willing to help and aid you in the right direction, as they are big on team building and work to provide an excellent customer experience.

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on the best options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Optical Assistant

As an Optical Assistant within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team. You will be on hand to help junior members of the team with any difficult questions and general troubleshooting. As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.

Compensation for the Optical Assistant

For your efforts a competitive salary package of £17,000 - £19,000 dependant on your experience is on offer, along with a strong bonus scheme (Approx £150 per month) and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
