Green 2 Delivery are currently recruiting for a full time Transport Assistant to support our Transport Team based near Daventry. The Transport Assistant provides support to the wider team, assisting with administrative and communicative duties to ensure the smooth running of the service.

This is a full time, office based role, with potential for further training and career advancement as the business grows. A Transport Assistant shift typically starts from 6am.

**The main duties performed, but not limited to, within this role**:

- Maintaining all records for effective transport planning & management
- Proactively identify and flag potential issues or causes for concern to the Transport Planner & Carrier Manager, to allow for remedial action
- Overseeing morning vehicle checks, keeping equipment logs, marshalling drivers through warehouse.
- Ensuring crew documentation is correct and up to date (SSOW & Risk Assessments)
- Responding to and resolving on-the-road issues with the Transport Team & Operations Team
- Preparing Crew packs & distribution of HR documents as required
- Assisting HR with the collection of documents for new starters

Previous experience in a transport role is essential. Experience using Gsit and or Maxoptra routing system would be highly beneficial.

We provide national delivery services to retailers, so an understanding of the technicalities that come with national delivery would be hugely beneficial.

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
