**JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE OPERATOR**

REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER

**Purpose & scope**:To ensure the mobile showrooms are stocked daily and deliveries are put away and the warehouse is organized.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Picking and loading your own dedicated vehicle and mobile showrooms
- Ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, handling of products.
- Supporting the external sales team with additional deliveries to customers premises if necessary
- Providing support to the general warehouse function, to ensure it runs efficiently
- Keep the delivery vehicles clean, tidy and maintained when necessary
- Operate within the law with regards to:

- Manual handling
- COSHH
- Environmental legislation
- Health & Safety legislation
- Follow Autosmart’s internal administration systems and procedures
- Maintain a professional and safe warehouse, allowing stock rotation and relocation.
- Follow procedures to ensure the security of the depot
- Drive the delivery vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, in line with the requirements of the Highway Code and the Driving at Work section of Autosmart’s Health and Safety Handbook
- Carry out stock takes as required
- Attend product courses and regional sales meetings as required

**Desirable Skills**

Can easily cope with a demanding role that includes manual handling

Practical and hands-on with a preference to working in all aspects of the role

Organising, planning and time management skills

Can work under pressure in a target driven environment

Meticulous eye for detail/attention

Good literacy & numeracy skills

Excellent time keeping and attendance

Self starter, positive attitude and highly motivated

Effective communicator

Readily adaptable to changes in working procedures and practices and is open to opportunities to improve own skills

**Essential Qualifications**

Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 penalty points

**Desirable Qualifications**

ADR qualification - packaged goods covering minimum of Classes 3, 8 & 9

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck

Driver CPC

Driving Goods Vehicle licence

**Desirable Experience**

Proven experience in a customer focussed delivery role

Warehouse experience

Automotive industry related knowledge and/or experience

**Working hours per week for role.**

25 hours per week with potential overtime if needed
