An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a crucial role in supporting delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan and NHS recovery from the pandemic, as a Delivery Advisor in the dynamic new Long Term Plan Delivery and Operations Hub.

Working closely with the Performance Team, the Long Term Plan Delivery and Operations Hub has been established at the heart of NHSE/I to track delivery of national programmes, support rapid problem solving and ensure organisational alignment behind executive team priorities.

As a member of the team, the post holder will work closely with colleagues in both the national and regional teams, providing effective and visible leadership while supporting programmes in delivering Long Term Plan aims.

As Delivery Advisor, key responsibilities of the role to include:

- Work with Heads of Delivery, be a trusted liaison between the Chief Delivery Officer (CDO) and specified programmes
- Support Heads of Delivery to identify and manage interdependencies across programmes, identify concerns and support problem solving/course correction
- Provide programme management including the ability to drive their own work programme, providing support and review of other work and contributing to the overall programme
- Provide flexible support as required, including with briefing tasks for the CDO, NHSEI Executive and Board meetings and DHSC
- Support regular delivery stocktakes with Strategic Delivery Director/Delivery Director, including agenda setting and follow up
- Provide secretariat at key strategic meetings as required.

Essentially, the post holder will have a can-do attitude, be a strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate and resolve problems, as well as having organisational/programme management skills.
