**Starting salary £26,647.33**
**Full time- 37.7 hours a week with flexible working**
**Hybrid Working: Stockport based with the option to work from home 60% of your time - Full time office work required for the first one month for induction purposes**

Care in Mind are a healthcare company operating across the northwest and Yorkshire and provide residential services for young people aged 16-25 years old. Over the past 5 years we have experienced significant growth and are now expanding our Finance Team to support with the next stage in our journey.

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in providing key information to support with monthly reporting and year end accounts. Your duties will include;
- Preparing monthly journals including prepayments, depreciation, and wages
- Carrying out bank reconciliations on Sage and balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany
- Assist with the purchase ledger when required
- Assisting with credit control, raising sales invoices and processing petty cash on a weekly basis and reconciling accounts on Sage.
- Work with key stakeholders in the business to identify and report on causes of variances from operating budgets
- Deputise for the Finance Manager in their absence

**Essential requirements of Assistant Management Accountant**
- Completed AAT
- Experience of assisting with management accounts production
- Experience of working to deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to deal with a wide range of people and establish effective working relationships with staff and managers

**Desirable Criteria of Assistant Management Accountant**
- Have access to a vehicle for work purposes with the ability to travel to the sites within the Care in Mind portfolio
- Part qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACCA,CIMA)
- Experience of working with Sage 50
- Previous supervisory experience
