As part of this project we are recruiting for an Accounts Payable team Leader on a 6 month interim basis. Ideally we need someone who can start immediately.
The Accounts Payable Leader is a senior position within the Finance function leading a team of 8 Accounts Payable staff, managing high transaction volumes across multiple UK companies.
In this role you will be responsible for leading process improvements and driving performance through effective management, supporting and empowering staff of all levels within your function.
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Operational management of end to end Accounts Payable processes and bank payment/ receipt processes managing high volumes of transactions across multiple UK companies
- Managing vendor master data to ensure all suppliers are valid and comply with relevant regulations such as modern slavery policy and insurance
- Management and training of staff and supporting continuous development of skill sets and knowledge
- Reviewing all processes and systems utilising specialist knowledge and expertise to drive performance and process improvements
- Work with senior finance managers to ensure all Accounts Payable processes are fit for purpose and compliant
- Management of recruitment and training, continuously developing staff a high knowledge/high skill basis
- Monitors and manages company’s daily cash position.
**We are looking for someone who has**:
- A minimum of 5 years Accounts Payable experience working in large organisations with high volumes
- Functional experience in process and procedure improvements/implementations
- Strong Finance process, controls and systems knowledge
- Accounting qualification AAT or relevant experience. Maths and English GCSE grade C or above
- Experience with MS Excel and Word
- Excellent people management skills
- Experience of working with remote teams across multiple locations.
- Self-motivated
