Job Introduction
**An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer within SEND Service area (Education and Skills). The post is full time, based at Darby House, Lawn Central, Telford with some home working. If you would like to be part of a busy team helping to support the children and families of Telford and Wrekin, then this could be the position for you.**

Business Support Officers play a vital role in supporting front line teams and practitioners across Education and Skills Services. This particular role will predominantly support the smooth running of the Travel Assistance Policy and procedures as well as providing professional administrative support across the breadth of Childrens Services, and we aim to;

- A starting salary of £24,294 and annual pay increments within your grade
- Option to enrol in the Local Government Pension scheme with employer matched contributions
- 23 days paid annual leave per year (rising to 29 after 5 years service) + bank holidays + a concessionary day

Working within a confidential environment you will have the ability to take a high standard of meeting minutes. You will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data. You will use your initiative to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment. You will need to have the confidence and ability to deal with a variety of multi-disciplinary professionals on a range of matters and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard whilst working remotely.
