**Main**Purpose**of**Role**:
The Sheet Metal operative roles range from using standard machines such as punch/laser cutting and press brakes to more bespoke metal spinning processes and manual welding positions. Again, this is supported by clear job instruction and drawings.

Training and support will be given.

Working hours: 37 hours per week. Can be fixed or flexible dependant on working area. Standard shifts are Core (7:15 15:45 Mon Thurs, 7:15 12:15 Fri), Early shift (6:00 14:00 Mon -Thurs, 6:00 13:30 Fri) and Late shift (14:00 22:30 Mon Thurs, 13:30 18:30 Fri).

Main Duties & Responsibilities: *
- Maintain the high H&S standards. Report accidents, near miss and incidents.
- Reading job instructions and technical drawings.
- Set-up machines as per instruction and drawing information
- Run 1st off and check/verify before proceeding
- Understand and exceed performance metrics (quality and cycle times)
- Clearly documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Escalate any non-conformance related engineering, quality and material issues
- Always maintain a clean and well organised work area

**Person Specification/Profile**:

- Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and policies
- Previous factory experience in either Assembly or Sheet Metal machine/processes
- Able to read and understand both engineering drawings and order instructions
- Punctual with a motivated can-do attitude
- Technical knowledge and ability to read instructions, drawings etc.
- Ability in using hand, pneumatic and battery tools
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity and attention to detail.
- Flexible team worker with a willingness to learn/develop across various shifts and areas.
