They are currently looking for a Billing Assistant to join their Guildford office on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to advance their career in Legal Finance.
The firm in question also do offer hybrid working.
**Responsibilities**
- When instructed raise billing guides, write off time disbursements and close files
- Ensuring bills are sent out and filed on a timely basis
- Raising billing guides, draft bills and finalising bills
- Allocating VAT when applicable
- Making sure agreed service levels are met
- When required providing assistance to Partners on matter management issues generally
- Using relevant software to make general matter, invoice or credit note enquiries
- Raising billing schedules and ad hoc billing schedules in Excel
- Working knowledge of the VAT regulations in relation to Solicitor Client Billing
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with Partners and levels of all staff
- Previous experience working in a legal accounting environment
- Electronic Billing experience would be desirable
- Advanced level of using MS Excel
- Numerate, accurate and the ability to work autonomously as well as a team
- Previous experience using Elite 3E
- Good understanding of foreign currency issues
