This is an exciting opportunity to join DEBRA. We are a national charity that is focused on improving the lives of people living with the rare genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), or butterfly skin as it is commonly known. EB affects approximately 5000 people in the UK and 500,000 people globally. At it’s worst, EB is the cruellest of diseases, its sufferers live in constant pain, and necessary healthcare interventions are difficult and distressing for the patient and those administering the care.
DEBRA funds pioneering research, specialist healthcare, international best practice and lifelong care and support for the EB community.

**About the role**
We need a Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our organisation and be the creative force delivering the assets that will help generate awareness of DEBRA/EB and encourage people to support us. You will be our brand custodian ensuring that all marketing and communication materials adopt a consistent, on brand look and feel that is true to our brand guidelines, which by the way, we want you to create
**About you**
You will be an experienced and highly creative Graphic Designer. Your experience may have been gained within an agency or as an in-house resource but ideally you will have worked on consumer-focused projects as well as corporate communication materials.
You will have experience of delivering high quality, innovative and successful creative concepts and solutions across a wide variety of media, including web, social media, events, and in-store POS, which are in line with the internal customer’s demands. You’ll have a thorough understanding of brand management principles and good retail knowledge.
We’re looking for a super strong creative with graphic design flair. Design focused with an eye on the big picture. You should have a good eye for typography and excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential as you will liaise with a variety of stakeholders from across the organisation. Intelligent, creative, and commercial in equal measure; this is a great opportunity to utilise your skills to help a charity with ambitious but attainable, life changing goals.
**What we need**:
Essential:
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Someone with an understanding of pre-press print processes for the development of artwork
- Excellent time management skills and an ability to see creative briefs from initial conception, through to creative development and final delivery
- Excellent attention to detail
- Someone who is good at articulating ideas and providing feedback in a constructive fashion
- The ability to realistically schedule and deliver work to time and on brief
- Proficiency with creating graphics and assets including video content for all social media platforms
- Someone who is comfortable working with brand guidelines
- The ability to multitask and successfully manage multiple competing priorities
- Good communication skills
- A ‘can do’, collaborative attitude
**Desirable**:
- Proficiency and a keen interest in photography/videography and in arranging and directing shoots
- Experience in video editing /animating (Premier Pro, After Effects or similar)
