Salon Assistant

The role of a GLOW assistant is multifaceted and involves a variety of tasks to support the stylists and ensure smooth operations.
- Client Reception and Support
- Greet clients warmly as they enter the salon.
- Assist with client check-in and check-out processes.
- Offer clients beverages or magazines while they wait.
- Stylist Assistance
- Prepare clients for their services by washing and conditioning their hair.
- Assist stylists with mixing colours and preparing other chemical treatments.
- Hand stylists tools and products as needed during appointments.
- Salon Maintenance
- Keep the salon clean and organised, including sweeping hair, sanitising stations, and cleaning tools.
- Ensure that towels and gowns are laundered and available.
- Replenish supplies like shampoos, conditioners, and other products at workstations.
- Customer Service
- Address any client inquiries or concerns and provide information about services and products.
- Promote salon products and assist with sales, recommending items based on client needs.
- Administrative Duties
- Process payments
- Maintain client records and update contact information.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and notify the manager/salon co-ordinator when supplies need to be reordered.
- Receive and organise new inventory when it arrives.

Overall our assistants play a crucial role in ensuring that the salon runs efficiently, effectively with clients experiencing premium service, and stylists are supported in delivering high-quality services.

Part time/Job share (3days) & Full time (5 days) options available.

£11.50 ph

Holiday pay and team member benefits.

**Experience**:

- stylist: 1 year (preferred)
- Hairdressing: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Hairdressing NVQ/SVQ Level 2 (preferred)
