Buyer required for a well-established manufacturer who are market leading in their industry. They boast a global presence and are a brand associated with quality. They offer ongoing employment, a varied role to be part of a valued team

The role would suit experienced buyers from a manufacturing or engineering background. Applicants will have proven experience managing suppliers, setting up long term contracts and ensuring best price and best service terms from all suppliers. You must beprepared to work within a busy, fast paced procurement team. CIPS certifications will be advantageous, although relevant transferable industry experience is of the highest priority.

Working as part of a large overall procurement team this role focuses entirely on the strategic planning and growth of the business by supporting the supply chain by managing relationships with all suppliers in the UK and overseas. You will ensure the businesshas long term contracts with all key suppliers and a best price, best service approach to all supplier accounts in terms of gaining the optimum outcome in terms of profitability and deliverables across the board.

The Role:
*Procurement and buying of mechanical and electronic components/materials

*Use of SAP and MRP System

*Analyse BOMs and engineering drawings

*Fast paced role, working to On Time in Full initiative

*Key Account Management and relationship building with suppliers

The Person:
*Must be an experienced buyer

*Applicants who have experience within manufacturing will have a considerable advantage

*Applicants will ideally have experience working with SAP or similar MRP systems

*CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent through experience
