Bar Supervisor

Old Thorns Hotel & Resort have an exciting opportunity for a Bar Supervisor to join our Bar’s team. If you are looking for a new and exciting role, in a fast-paced and lively environment with a strong desire to be a key contributor within a team then look no further

We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and can work well within our existing Bar team to ensure the smooth running of the bars and provide our customers with the best experience possible. You will help run our Sports Bar and our Champagne & Cocktail bar.

You will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills and be passionate and knowledgeable about all our hotel facilities and outlets. Having the ability to anticipate guest needs and nurture the journey for the guest is a desirable skill.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- To have a thorough knowledge of all menus and beverages available.
- To process orders through the till / check system and serve as appropriate. To ensure that all charges are raised for food and beverage consumed, in accordance with company procedures
- To be fully aware of current liquor licensing laws and ensures that these are strictly adhered to
- To serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as requested, adhering to weights and measures and licensing laws
- To ensure opening and closing procedures as set down by the company are followed
- To participate in service wherever required
- To exercise effective stock rotation and maintain stock levels in accordance with hotel business, ensuring all products are displayed according to company procedures
- To direct and supervise activities of team members, thus ensuring the quality and standards of service are maintained at all times at the level laid down by the company
- To lead and motivate team members in order to obtain maximum commitment
- To assist with the provision and recording of continuous training for all staff in order that the team may further develop their skills and meet the standards of performance
- To ensure staff demonstrate a professional attitude and are meeting proper Company appearance and uniform standards

- Previous experience working in a bar and leading a team.

**What to expect?**
- In line with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, we do require all applicants to have the eligibility to live and work in the United Kingdom. Documentation will be required at interview stage_

**Salary**: Up to £23,920.00 per year
