This post represents an exciting and commercially focused opportunity to contribute to the development of analytical strategy within a fast moving and highly ambitious retail orientated organisation.
The business is looking at exceptional level analytical graduates, who have excelled academically within Mathematical Sciences, Statistics, Operational Research or Economics (or equivalent) combined with experience (industrial placement, internship etc.) analysingand modelling data to produce meaningful insight. You'll be technology focused and have a passion for utilising relevant analytical tools and methodology to support high stakes commercial decision making.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilise data analysis and data mining techniques to help the business understand the diverse customer database
- Contribute to production of effective and visual performance reporting (revenue, margin, customer retention), providing insight and meaningful narrative behind the date
- Communicate complex MI to a non-statistical audience, present conclusions from analysis to enhance decision making with stakeholders

**Selection of skills required**:

- Numerical or business focused degree from a leading university (Economics, Mathematics, Business Studies etc.)
- Further MSc in related discipline advantageous
- Exceptional attention to detail with analytical mind-set
- Team player, evidence of working in a fast-paced team environment whilst also demonstrating high levels of initiative
- Sound knowledge of MS Excel, demonstrating the ability to manage, manipulate, interrogate, and report on complex data
- Further knowledge / experience of data analysis tools and technologies will be welcome (SQL, Python, SPSS, Power BI)
- Passionate about using data to solve problems and drive business improvement
- Understands the difference between 'raw data' and 'insight'
