Due to continuous expansion, we have an opportunity for a passionate and motivated Business Support Executive to join our successful purchasing team. Our Purchasing staff wouldn’t be able to do their jobs successfully without a reliable set of people takingthe administrative strain and we are looking for another organised, patient, efficient person to join this load-bearing team

**The Role - Purchasing Assistant**:
Our Support team work closely with our Purchasers to ensure orders are processed into stock as quickly and efficiently as possible. This includes checking and entering orders onto our system, finding and report on logistics and ETAs, liaising with our Accountsteam to ensure payments are processed and resolving any queries or variances. We need a responsible, composed, logical individual who can manage a number of different tasks in quick succession, if not at the same time

We have a large and full office populated with hard working, experienced, knowledgeable staff who put a lot of time and effort in doing their jobs well, so a similar work ethic would really benefit you - as would a sense of humour, aka the ability to laughat your colleagues’ terrible jokes and (thankfully rare) animal impressions.

**Role Responsibilities - Purchasing Assistant**:

- Providing the purchasing team with administrative support
- Helping to maintain excellent relationships with Suppliers and discussing orders to ensure accuracy
- Verifying the validity of Supplier information and ensuring their accounts are set up accurately on the system
- Liaise with the appropriate department to ensure that incoming orders are processed efficiently and in a timely manner
- Reconciling any order discrepancies/issues with suppliers and liaising with the accounts team for any invoice queries
- Dealing with couriers and incoming delivery enquiries
- Speaking to Suppliers to make returns/credit requests
- Data entry for company master data spreadsheets and reports

**Essential role requirements - Purchasing Assistant**:

- Computer literacy
- Accuracy when inputting data
- A methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use your own initiative
- Ability to use your time wisely and efficiently
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritising your workload and multitasking
- Excellent communication skills
