**Accounts Assistant - Chelmsford**

In this role you will be assisting your Accounts Team Leader in providing an excellent service in a friendly manner by providing management accounts, VAT & financial accounts for a selection of clients

**Key deliverables**

**Duties**:

- Accounts production - to include sole trader, partnerships, trusts, charities, LLP and Limited Company accounts
- VAT - reviewing monthly/quarterly reports to check the correct VAT treatment has been used. Submission of VAT returns to HMRC
- Cash reporting - preparation of monthly/quarterly budget - actual - variance reports from information held within Greentree
- Outside accountants - accurate & reconciled bookkeeping records need to be provided to outside firms of accountant’s and tax advisors
- Dealing with agent/ client queries in a timely manner
- Visits to other offices and client premises from time to time

**Person specification**
- AAT Level 4 with experience, Part Qualified ACCA or qualified by experience 3 years +

**Experience**:

- Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, Outlook & variety of accounting systems
- Previous experience of Iris software an advantage but not essential
- An understanding of partial exemption and diminimus rules an advantage but not essential
- Previous experience of working to deadlines, high levels of attention to detail & ability to multi-task
- Having driving licence an advantage for office visits
