Our client are a reputable progressive yet traditional broker who have doubled in size over the last 5 years. They work within a core sector of services including business and property cover, private insurance and specialist services for your multiple areas of businesses.

We are on the lookout for a **Commercial** **Account Handler **to join our office in Southern Hertfordshire, continuing their growth plans and looking to recruit a driven and passionate Commercial Account Handler to assist their Property & Liability team.

**Desired Experience & Key Responsibilities**
- Minimum of 2 years comprehensive understanding of general commercial insurance within a commercial broking environment.
- Handling own renewal book of business and managing the renewal process from start to finish and to look for new opportunities/ cross selling.
- Preparation and delivery of insurer risk presentations and negotiations with providers, to secure the most appropriate cover for our clients.
- Efficient and effective handling of commercial clients on a daily basis, on all aspects connected with servicing and developing and maintaining these relationships.
- Assisting Account Executives in administrative tasks for larger accounts, including the writing of client reports.
- Ability to read and digest technical information and explain clearly to a client in a way which is pragmatic, appropriate and effective.
- Competent technical ability in all aspects of commercial insurance business, including commercial combined insurance, fleet, marine, professional indemnity and Directors & Officers.
- Experience of Acturis system desired but not essential

**Salary**: Up to £35,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Performance bonus

- Hertfordshire WD31LA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Account Handling: 2 years (preferred)
- Commercial Insurance: 2 years (preferred)
