**About Us**

Pinehirst Education is a Training Provider based in St. Anne Street,Liverpool. We deliver a variety of vocational Study Programmes to 16 - 18 year old students and for learners with complex needs (SEND) aged up to 25. Pinehirst Education is a leading training provider specialising in the delivery of education & training for the track & rail Industry. As an organisation are main aim is to deliver quality education & training in tack & rail and construction skills, in order to give young people & adults the opportunity to gain employment and establish a career in an ever expanding sector. We are presently in the process of expanding our team and are looking to recruit a track & rail tutor.

Our young people often come to us disengaged, with a lack of motivation for learning. We offer an alternative curriculum to meet the needs of each student on an individual basis. The level of student ability at Pinehirst Education typically ranges from Pre Entry up to and including GCSE.

**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Teaching, Learning & Assessment**
- Demonstrates appropriate curriculum knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons in Track & Rail effectively to benefit all learners.
- Setting high expectations to inspire, motivate and challenge all learners.
- Prepare and develop innovative sessions, design and deliver group activities to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent organisation and planning skills to ensure well structured lessons and records/paperwork are completed to deadlines.
- Teaching & assessing mainly 16-18 age students in level 1 & level 2 qualification

**Student Progression & Outcomes**
- Promoting outstanding progress and outcomes by learners.
- Accountable for learners' attainment, progression and outcomes.
- Plan and build on learner knowledge and capabilities.
- Managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment at all times.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**Essential**
- Previous experience and qualifications in teaching and assessing would be beneficial along with experience in working in the track & rail or construction Industries.

Teaching qualification or working towards.

A highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic person who is approachable and promotes positive relationships with high expectations.

Capability to effectively manage student discipline and have a commitment to a high level of pastoral care.

Ability to cope with the pressures of a demanding position.

**Desirable**
- Evidence of continuous professional development and commitment to further professional development.

Knowledge and understanding of the preparation and administration of statutory examinations.

Experience of working with high needs learners is beneficial, however if necessary training will be provided.

Proven track record of student outcomes

**Benefits**: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays, Pension, Competitive Salary.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
