Receptionist/administrator

**OPurpose of Post**:
The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers to the company, responsible for delivering a professional and welcoming experience. The role also involves providing general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Front Desk Duties**:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring they are made comfortable.
- Offer refreshments, such as tea or coffee, to guests and visitors upon arrival.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Handle general inquiries from visitors and callers, directing them to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- **Administrative Support**:
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitoring the logbook, issuing visitor badges).
- Assist with general office administration, including filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments as required.
- **General Office Duties**:
- Support other departments as needed with basic clerical tasks.
- Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring the reception area is stocked.
- Undertake any other duties as required that are within the competence of the post.
**General Responsibilities**:
- Ensure courteous and respectful interactions with all staff, visitors, and external partners in accordance with the company’s Dignity at Work Procedure.
- Adhere to and promote the company’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
- Maintain high standards of personal accountability and professionalism.
- Co-operate with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with the company’s no-smoking policy.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00-£12.50 per hour
