**Credit Controller**

**Your role purpose**

You will be primarily based out of our Bury St Edmunds, with the ability to work 50% of the time in the office and the other 50% of the time working agile (this could be from home or at one of our pubs if you prefer. Of course you are welcome to work 100%on site if this is your preference)

**Your responsibilities**
- Controlling your own ledger and ensuring overdue debt is escalated quickly to avoid unnecessary risk and potential write offs
- Collection of payments as well as allocation of cash in a timely manner
- Releasing orders within scheduled timeframes and to deadline
- Dealing with disputed invoices as well as liaising with the legal team on irrecoverable debt
- Day to day administration support e.g. copy invoices, statements, customer accounts etc
- Building excellent relationships with customers as well as peers in other departments
- Use of online platforms
- Supporting colleagues to help cover tasks periodically

**About you**:
You will need to have some previous accounts based experience that is transferable for this role. This could mean that you have previously worked as a Finance or Accounts Assistant or a Credit Controller and therefore have some previous credit managementexperience. You will need to be able to work well under pressure within a fast paced environment, working well to deadlines and targets. As a Credit Controller you will have excellent communication skills and be a strong, proactive team player with excellentplanning and organisation skills as well as fully competent with Excel and MS Office.
