**The multi award-winning International Bomber Command Centre is looking for exceptional and enthusiastic people to join its growing hospitality and catering operation. The Centre plays hosts to a wide range of events, functions and runs the successful Hub Café for visitors.**

**The IBCC are looking for a dedicated and energetic Kitchen Assistant to join their catering team. The role reports directly to the Catering Manager and is an integral part of this small but vitally important team. The IBCC has a busy café operation and a full programme of events and corporate hospitality, ranging from finger buffets to full banquet style catering. This role would provide a great opportunity to start a career in the catering industry, playing a key role in the team with full support of the management.**

**The centre is open 6 days a week - Tuesday to Sunday (except Bank Holidays) and standard opening hours are 9.30 - 5.00 (09.30 - 4.00 from November to February). Occasionally hospitality events would require shifts to cover out of hours working and bank holidays.**

**This role would suit someone looking for part-time work.**

Key responsibilities:

- To clean allocated pieces of equipment
- To operate our industrial dishwasher
- To ensure the day-to-day cleanliness of the dishwasher machine with daily cleaning to a hygienic standard
- To ensure all tableware, serving dishes & cooking utensils are cleaned in a timely manner
- To exercise due care & attention to ensure we have mínimal breakages
- To dispose of waste & recycle in the appropriate manner
- To assist the kitchen & café in cleaning all items involved in service on a day to day basis, ensuring high standards of cleanliness at all times
- Use chemicals as trained
- Work safety around the kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef or Catering Manager.

- Ability to work as part of a team but also using your own initiative

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
