Bakery and Retail Assistant at Parkfoot Eats

**Key Responsibilities**
- To welcome and greet all customers with a positive approach at the eatery and at the till points.
- To support any customers requiring assistance at the jet washes.
- To have great product knowledge, recommending items on the menu and driving sales, up-sell where possible.
- To have a working knowledge of how the jet
- washes work and how the chemicals are replenished.
- To open the bakery on time, making sure all products have been cooked and prepared for opening, such as morning goods and bread.
- To make sandwiches, salads and fruit salads and package for display unit ensuring all products are labelled correctly.
- Make freshly made menu items as and when requested, following the menu item recipes accurately for consistency.
- To bake hot food cabinet items throughout the day, ensuring they look inviting.
- Make sure baked and fresh goods are out at peak times.
- Take and record the temperature of food throughout the day and document on check sheets.
- Take note of the temperatures of the fridges and freezers throughout the day and record on check sheets.
- Adjust oven temperatures and cooking times for specific menu items.
- To ensure all allergen labels are up to date and accurate.
- To ensure that all equipment is clean before use.
- To have a clean as you go attitude, avoid any cross contamination, to also wash up and dry as you work and complete the cleaning schedule.
- Keeping records relating to deliveries, production and wastage.
- Clean the coffee machines, ice cream machines, tango machines and frozen yogurt machines as and when scheduled.
- Clean and restock workstations ensuring all equipment is clean for the next shift and the cleaning schedule is followed including the cleaning of the outside and the jet washes.
- Track food supplies and notify managers to place orders.
- To put out deliveries in a timely manner, rotating stock, checking dates and ensure all products are ticketed.
- To replenish all shelves accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring stock rotation.
- Ensure all products are well merchandised at all times, front facing and that there are no empty shelves and all tickets are accurate.
- Adopt an attitude of facing-up as you go. Complete stock walks and stock checks as required.
- The ability to use the tills with confidence and know what to do or who to ask if something goes wrong. To also ensure the cashing up process is completed at the end of the day.
- Have knowledge of when to challenge under 25’s and do so in a positive and calming manner.
- To share customer and colleague feedback to help us improve in the future.
- To share knowledge and expertise with fellow colleagues to support them in building skills and confidence.
- To proactively engage with online training and courses to develop personal skills and learning.
- Have knowledge of Jet7’s daily sales targets, promotions and selling opportunities.
- Ensure knowledge of Parkfoot Eats priorities and the part you play in delivering the store’s goals and targets.
- To minimise cost and waste by understanding stock management.
- Follow safe and legal working practices at all times.
- Notify the manager of any equipment issues immediately.
- Keep excellent standards of personal hygiene and maintain this within the store.

**Appearance**

Parkfoot Eats takes pride in its staff and for this reason all staff are issued with a staff uniform, with the exception of trousers. Staff must wear their staff uniform at all times and uniforms must be clean to comply with food safety standards. Hair must be tied back and fingernails clean.
