**Indigo Support** is a specialist provider for young people in the North East. We work with **young people aged 16-18** as a stepping stone to independent adulthood. This includes supporting each person in a home setting (placement) to fulfil their day to day needs. We believe each young person should feel **valued and respected** in a nurturing environment in order to flourish to their full potential.

We support in Carlisle. **Support is usually on a 1-1 basis (lone working). **We work to **Safeguard** children, young people and adults at risk. Working towards young people's **goals and outcomes **is a key element of this role.

You are not required to be a car driver - however this would be an advantage. Applicants would need to hold **or be willing to work towards** a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young people.

**Experience** in a support setting is **preferred but not essential** as full training and shadowing of experienced workers will be given.

The rate of pay is currently **£9.90 per hour** and any **overtime completed will be at the rate of £10.00 per hour.** The sleep in payment is £30.00. The annual equivalent salary for this role based on the average of 45.5 hours per week and 3.5 sleep-ins per week is **£29,793.40 per annum** (including sleep-in payments).

**Please note**:
**The shift patterns can either be a standing rota (including sleep-ins) of a 'live in' role based on seven days on/seven days off (which may alternate based on service need). Whilst on shift the young people are free to come and go from placement as they wish - you also have a 2 hour break every day which can be taken away from placement.**
