**Job summary,**

We are looking for a hard-working, dependable, and practically minded individual to join our team during the busy harvest and preparation season. This role focuses on assisting with the safe and efficient covering of bale stacks, ensuring they are securely protected for the winter months. The work involves operating loaders and other essential farm machinery to lift and position heavy-duty protective sheets neatly over large stacks of straw and hay bales, as well as supporting general farm work as required.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with the precise positioning and secure fastening of protective sheets on bale stacks. Safely operate loaders, telehandlers, and other farm machinery to lift, move, and set sheets in place. Carry out general farm work and maintenance duties to support the smooth running of the farm. Work closely with other team members to ensure tasks are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Monitor and check that bale stacks are covered tightly, evenly, and weather-resistantly to protect them from wind, rain, and frost. Maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and fully operational condition. Follow all farm safety procedures with careful attention and consistent diligence. Skills & Experience: Previous experience with farm machinery or heavy equipment (loaders, tractors, telehandlers) is highly desirable. Ability to work outdoors in all weathers, often at height and in physically demanding conditions. Practical experience with general farm work is an advantage. Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions clearly and accurately. A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to work flexibly and reliably as tasks demand.
