**Laser Programmer Manufacturing - Operations £25,000 - £30,000 PA** Our client, a leader in stainless steel fabrication, have been in the manufacturing industry for over 70 years. Due to continued growth they are looking for an additional Laser Programmer to join their already successful team based near the heart of Birmingham. The Laser Programmer will be joining a primarily office based team located on the same site as the sheet metal fabrication manufacturing plant, where cutting, bending, surface treatment and assembly takes place. You may be a Laser Programmer who currently works in a manufacturing plant and looking for a transition into an office environment where you will have the opportunity to interpret engineering blueprints to draw (programme) flat pattern layouts of parts usingCAD/CAM software or you are an experienced CAD designer in the sheet metal industry looking for a fresh new challenge. **Reporting to the Works Manager your duties will include**: " Interpreting engineering blueprints to draw (programme) flat pattern layouts of parts using CAD/ CAM software " Utilise work orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to understand job requirements " Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications " Programme and maintain current file revision of all client parts " Work with client designs and engineers to ensure they are correct " Prepare detailed work instructions and set up sheets " Willingness to actively participate in all aspects of production within the manufacturing plant **Preferred experience and skills**: " Experience in Trumpf Laser Programming " Capable of efficiently integrating existing methods with new innovation to economically solve production problems in a timely manner " Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Solidworks " Ability to understand code including the ability to write, edit and troubleshoot program issues **What you will get in return**: " Salary - between £25,000 and £30,000 depending on experience " 07:30 - 16:30 Mon-Thu, with a shorter 07:30-12:30 day on Fridays " On-site car parking " 33 days annual leave PA when you include bank holidays " Company pension scheme
