We are looking for an **Inventory Controller** to join our team

**Purpose of role**:
Support development of the inventory control strategy, with the aim of improving inventory accuracy, reducing cost and maximising operational efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage, control and undertake perpetual inventory activities/inventory accuracy checks and ensure integrity/accuracy of the stock management systems.
- Investigate and complete root cause analysis on stock inaccuracies; where required work constructively with relevant parties to implement effective countermeasures.
- Develop strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders, in particular the warehouse, production and purchasing teams.
- Minimize overstock and highlight obsolete component parts/raw materials, liaise with management to action accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with the Warehouse and Production Team Leaders to ensure that all staff are fully trained and adhering to inventory management procedures.
- Produce reports and provide routine management information on inventory performance.
- Monitor and evaluate material utilisation and scrap procedures across the site, working cross-functionally to implement/improve procedures and adherence to such.
- Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimize costs and maximize working capital
- Ensure maintenance of accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes.
- To work in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the Company’s health and safety policies
- To carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

**Person Specification - Inventory Controller**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 5 GCSEs Grade A-C/4-9 including Maths and English or equivalent.
- Desirable - Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Management or other relevant professional qualification.

**KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in inventory management.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles and guidelines.
- Detailed understanding of ERP/MRP and/or other inventory management
- Desirable - Experience of lean concepts, kanban and continuous improvement.
- Desirable - Experience working in a similar industry.

**SKILLS**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.

**PERSONAL**
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
- Strong attention to detail and adept at using a data driven approach to root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure and to tight timescales, whilst maintaining quality.
- Proactive individual, comfortable with challenging and influencing at all levels within an organisation.

**Salary**

**Up to £35,000 per year - dependent on experience**
