Axcis are recruiting for a teaching assistant to work providing support to small groups of key stage 2 primary school aged children (7-11). This support will entail helping children with literacy and numeracy and could also include some 1:1 support with pupils with special educational needs/disabilities (SEND) when required. Some pupils in the class have SEND and require additional support to engage with lessons and their peers.

The school is a moderately sized mainstream primary, with around 25 pupils per class. Behaviour is generally very good around school, however there will be occasions where you will be required to manage behaviour and therefore some previous training or experience would be advantageous but is not necessary for the role.
