Hotel Night Porter

Charlotte House Hotel is a stunning, boutique hotel and wedding venue, located within meters of Lincoln Castle. This beautiful art deco hotel, recently acquired by Stokes Tea and Coffee, is looking for a diligent, customer focused Night Porter to join the team.

In this role, you will be central to a positive guest experience, whether it's ensuring they have a friendly face to greet them, when arriving for a late check-in, helping them with a query or serving them a night-cap at the bar. You will support breakfast set-up and thrive on interacting with early-rising guests.

During your shift, you will be the responsible person on site, so you will need to be confident to work independently and be able to use your naturally calm demeanour and instinctive common-sense, to manage any issues that may arise.

The shifts will be on a rolling four day week, 9pm to 7.30am.

Experience in this role is desirable, however full training is provided, but a positive and professional demeanour is essential.

**Key Duties**
- Overseeing the late-night reception area, including handling check-ins and check-outs and offering any necessary information regarding the hotel facilities and services.
- Managing guest requests for amenities, and any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Providing a bar service for guests and visitors
- Ensuring the security of the premises by monitoring surveillance cameras, performing regular patrols
- Assisting with luggage handling, including delivering and collecting luggage for guests.
- Performing general administrative tasks, such as processing payments, updating guest information, and completing night audit reports.
- Clean and set up the restaurant area for breakfast.
- Clean and set up meeting areas as required.
- Assisting with any emergencies or incidents that may occur during the night, such as medical emergencies or fire alarms, by following established procedures.

- Previous Night Porter experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
